I experienced what I think is the most life changing moment I’ve ever gone through. Today, I went to DiNapoli Opticians. For a little backstory, I was recently diagnosed with a condition called keratoconus. It’s a condition that makes the cornea pointed rather than rounded. It’s essentially a disease that thins the cornea. For several years now I’ve struggled with my vision. For example, my left eye is significantly worse than my right. My vision is so plagued astigmatism that (especially in my left) is so blurred. With the better health of my right eye, I can see decently. I drive fine, luckily. Any way, I’m getting off track. Mike DiNapoli, put two different sets of contacts in my eyes. Second better than the first. I’m telling you it restored about 90% of my vision. This office is Stuyvesant Plaza, consequently, with each set of contacts he sent me out into the world to walk around the plaza for 15-20 minutes each. When I tell you, I was an emotional wreck. I was. To be able to see so properly again, I was able to look across the Plaza and was able to read the storefront signs. The mere fact that I could read the tags on clothing and other items in stores so clearly. To be able to look at a person 5 feet away from me and to actually be able to see the details of their face, made me so emotional, I couldn’t even begin to think that I wasn’t dreaming. I haven’t been able to see so well since I was at least 12 years old. My lord, if you have any vision issues, please please, check out DiNapoli Opticians.
